Hiring a Birth Doula Increases Your Chances Of:

  • Fewer medical interventions
  • Reducing your risk of forceps or cesarean section
  • A satisfying birth experience

Every labouring woman can benefit from a doula! We are trained to support you emotionally and physically while you are facing the biggest challenge you will ever face...childbirth. Whether you are planning a home birth or hospital birth, epidural birth or drug free birth we can help you achieve the birth you desire. A doula does not judge you or tell you what to do... she reminds you of the goals you set when you were not in labour and then encourages you to make your own choices and provides support. A doula also provides a lot of emotional support in the postpartum period if a birth does not go exactly as a mother had planned.

Birth Doula Service Package Includes:
  • Two prenatal visits
  • Assistance in researching birth options and completing a Birth Plan
  • Birth Information package which includes an overview of emotional support and comfort measures

  • Constant emotional, physical and informative support during labour and delivery
  • Support in advocating your needs (prenatal, during birth and postnatal)

If a doula were a drug, it would be unethical not to use it.                John H. Kennell, MD

• 60% reduction in epidural requests
• 40% reduction in oxytocin (pitocin) use
• 30% reduction in analgesia (pain medication) use
